Early Life and Childhood
At December 5, 1986 he was born in Berkeley, California, USA. the 35 years old star is of Caucasian descent and holds American citizenship. When he was ten, his parents divorced and he moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he grew up with his mother and stepfather. His birth name is Zachary Joseph Horwitz.

On April 5, 2021, Avery was arrested on wire fraud charges (18 USC 1343) related to the alleged orchestration of a $690 million Ponzi scheme that began in 2015 and defrauded investors of over $227 million based on false claims that investor money would be used to acquire licensing rights to films that HBO and Netflix wanted to distribute abroad, particularly in Latin America.
Avery pleaded guilty to one count of securities fraud on October 4, 2021. Avery was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison and ordered to pay $230 million in restitution on February 14, 2022.
