In 1965, Robert C. Ashton was born in the United States of America. He was born to his father named Bob Ashton and his mother Lillian Ashton. He attended St. Augustine Preparatory and graduated in 1983. He was also an honorary graduate of Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He passed away on February 1, 2017. According to the sources, he committed suicide by jumping off the George Washington Bridge.

Thus, his body was shortly recovered from the nearby riverbank as he jumped in the early hours of the morning. His ex-wife wrote on her social media page, “Our hearts are broken that the father of my teenage children took his own life yesterday.” He also wrote a note before jumping. In the note, he instructed respondents to call his wife and leave the woman’s name and phone number. The note was found in his jacket.

Previously, Robert Ashton served as Director of Thoracic Surgery at Montefiore Medical in the Bronx. He was also the chief thoracic surgeon at Hackensack University Medical Center. He was given the light of time after his death and is also known as Jennifer Ashton’s ex-husband. Jennifer Ashton completed her residency at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center.

She practiced as a senior physician at Englewood Hospital and Medical Centre. Thus, it is a subsidiary of Mount Sinai Medical Center in Englewood, New Jersey. As of now it is currently in private practice. In addition, she has contributed to a health blog for The Record of Bergen, New Jersey. She has also written numerous magazine articles.

Likewise, a book on health and wellness issues in middle-aged women called Your Body Beautiful was published in 2012. She also wrote a book specifically for pregnant women in 2016 called Eat This When You’re Expecting, Not That. In 2006 she tried to make a career in television. Robert Ashton lived a happy life. On August 31, 1996 he was married Jennifer Ashton. They invited their few close friends and family members to their ceremony. Also, they dated long before they tied the knots. Soon after their marriage, they were blessed with children named Alex and Chloe.

His daughter plays Division 1 hockey for Harvard University. Due to some issues, they decided to separate and filed for divorce in November 2016. The divorce was officially finalized on January 23, 2017. Even after the divorce, they lived across the street as they had to take care of their young children.
