Prince Christian is the eldest child of the Danish royal family. Prince Christian is second in line to the Danish throne after his father, the Crown Prince of Denmark.

Early childhood

Prince Christian was born on fifteenth October 2005 and is currently 15 years old. His Baptist name is Christian Valdemar Henri John and since he was born in mid-October his zodiac sign is Libra. He was also born in Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen, Denmark and is a Danish national.

Birth Facts

Prince Christian was born at Copenhagen University Hospital in Copenhagen. He was born on Saturday fifteenth October 2005 at 1:57 p.m. He also weighed 3.5 kg (7.7 lbs) and 51 cm (20 in) at birth. Immediately after his birth at 12 noon that day, 21 gun salutes were fired from the Sixtus battery on Holmen in Copenhagen and at Kronborg Castle to mark the birth of a royal child.

Similarly, in Denmark, his birth was celebrated on a royal birthday. Likewise, the Danish flag flew over all public buses and every official building. Also, at sunset on the same day, beacons were lit across Denmark and ships of the Naval Home Guard lit their searchlights and aimed them at the capital.

Short hospital stay

However, a week later his birth, on October 21, 2005 Prince Christian was hospitalized. He suffered from neonatal jaundice, which is usually a harmless condition and is fairly common (especially in premature babies). Likewise, his photos showed a yellow cast on his face and hands. Similarly, the doctors were examined by doctors and subjected to blood tests, and then spent time in a light box under special colored light beams. It then broke down the substance bilirubin that caused jaundice. Fortunately, however, he made a full recovery and his parents took him home the same day.
