39 mins: The corner is sent deep towards the far post where Cancelo meets it and heads the ball wide of goal. 

36 mins: Man City string together about 10-15 passes before De Bruyne feeds the ball into the box for Foden. He turns it towards goal and lets loose but Ajayi blocks it out for a corner. 

33 mins: Man City continue to work the ball around the edge of the box, penning the Baggies back. Short, sharp passes probing the back line for a opening. Mendy receives it out wide and he fires a low cross into the box that Johnstone claims.

30 mins: GOAL! There it is. Sterling is played into the box and he chases the pass to the byline and keeps it in play. Gundogan darts into the middle of the box and Sterling picks him out. He hits the ball on the first try and smokes it past Johnstone.

15 mins: Man City are just dealing in set pieces. This time a corner is cleared by O’Shea and comes out to Mendy. He works it out to the left and then up to Foden who wins another corner when his cross is knocked behind. This one comes to nothing as well. 

12 mins: Man City win a free kick over on the left flank. De Bruyne swings it into the box but Johnstone comes out and claims the ball. Man City are slowly growing into the game.
