Jen Hale (Jennifer Hale) is an American journalist who works part-time as an NFL reporter for Fox Sports. Likewise, Jen Hale also covers the NBA team New Orleans Pelicans. He is an award-winning sportswriter who used to work as a political reporter and news anchor before turning her career to sports.

Early life

Jen Hale was born on February 28, 1978 in New Orleans, Louisiana, and grew up in Alabama. She is also 44 years old. She finished her high school at Apple Valley High School. Jen began her career as a political reporter at KNOE-TV, a network in Monroe, Louisiana. The station then sent her to Baton Rouge as a metropolitan correspondent. After that, Jen started working at WAFB in Baton Rogue. She worked as a weekend anchor and reporter for WVTM in Birmingham, Alabama.

In 2009, she also published a book called Historic Plantations of Alabama’s Black Belt. She was a correspondent for MSNBC. Jen used to be a morning show host for WVUE-TV. She covered different types of topics during the morning show, ranging from politics to sports to culinary.

Jen got her first break when her LSU friends suggested she interview former athletes and special guests for inclusion on the LSU Athletics website. Personal life

Jen is currently single as she is busy with her career. Jen is a very private person, so there isn’t much information about her private life. At the age of 38, Jen was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy despite being a health freak, cross-fit enthusiast, cyclist, and non-smoker. Cardiomyopathy is a disease that makes it difficult for our heart to pump blood to the rest of our body. Jen showed the first symptoms in the summer of 2016, complaining of constant exhaustion and shortness of breath.

She tried to brush away the symptoms, thinking it was because of her hectic schedule. Her fatigue and shortness of breath only got worse in September. She went to the doctor after her body became severely swollen. Initially, she thought it was just some kind of allergy, but after a medical exam, she found out it was cardiomyopathy. The doctors suggested that she take a 6-month break from work, to which she did not agree. After all the struggles to get to where she is today, Jen decided to keep working.

For six months, she wore a life jacket to work every day in addition to her medication. The vest would track her heart’s activity and alert her if it was slowing down, it would also shock her heart if necessary. Jen continued to work with a LifeVest for six months. The medicine worked like a charm. Her heart was pumping at 50%, she was also taken off the heart transplant list after two years.

Jen is at her best now, she has learned to take care of herself and take frequent breaks. After recovering from cardiomyopathy, she is actively involved with the American Heart Association and raising awareness of heart disease. She urges people not to ignore the early symptoms of the disease.
