Early Life and Childhood

DJ was born January 12, 1977 in Whitehaven, Memphis, Tennessee, United States. He is of pure American descent and holds American citizenship. So is he 45 years old. Paul and Juicy J co-starred on MTV’s 2007 reality show Adventures in Hollyhood. He also competed on VH1’s cooking show Popular Food, where he took first place alongside seven other celebrities. DJ received an Oscar for co-writing “It’s Hard Out Here for a Pimp” used in the film Hustle & Flow 2006 for Best Original Song.
