In his first season he won the third championship title with his teammates.
He officially joined Veracruz in January 2019. On February 4, he made his debut against his former club Guadalajara, drawing 0–0. On November 23, he played his farewell match in Liga MX, losing 1–3 to his previous team Guadalajara.
He has competed in several tournaments for his country, both at youth and senior level. Similarly, he began his international debut on September 8, 2006 against Trinidad and Tobago in a World Cup qualifier.
